I got to see Saviena first. She was staying with her sister in Brooklyn and she met up with me at Columbus Circle on my break the first day she was here. I was so proud of her riding the subway all the way by herself just to meet me. We chatted for a bit in Central Park, it was a beautiful day and so great to talk to her. Kristina happened to be visiting at the same time which is so awesome. She has a few friends here and some family too. Kristina also made me very proud by figuring out the city and the subways on her own one day when she came to visit me at work. I got to spend a lot of time with Kristina and I had so much fun seeing the city with her. It's always fun to see things with people who are excited about them and a lot of times it's just old news to these New Yorkers. I really enjoyed being a tourist for a bit and learning more and seeing more. I am finally starting to get my sense of direction around here.

My first celebrity sighting! Mario Lopez interviewing Ricky Martin. We saw a little crowd of people and went to check it out, I saw Mario Lopez and was like "Oh wow, that's so cool" and then Ricky turned around and I was like, "RIIIIIIIIIIIICKKKKKKKKKKYYYY! OMGGGGG!!!!!" Like a teenager touching the TV when the Backstreet Boys come on.

Washington Square Park, kinda one of my favorite places to chill and people watch. It is in the middle of the NYU campus and there are lots of cute dogs and boys, listed in my order of preference.
