It might be strange that my favorite part about the city is the parks, since parks are actually an escape from the city. But what I really love about the parks here, apart from the fact that they are green which is not a color I grew up seeing much, is that people actually use the parks. At any given time you can walk into a park in the city and see people relaxing and killing time. Central Park is, of course, the mother of all the parks featuring a plethora of amenities and things to do from lakes, to rowboats, to feeding ducks, a castle, gardens, bike paths, food, sports fields, dog parks, playgrounds, bridges, ponds, statues, everything you could want for a beautiful day outside. A few minutes after you walk into Central Park you will forget where you are, the noise and the craziness of the city will disappear faster than you thought possible.
