On the bright side the weather turned amazing this week. Spring was in the air and coming from a place where Spring is a transition that you barely notice, it has ben quite an event. After a long, but not nearly as bad as it could have been, frigid, gray winter, everyone is more than ready to bust out their shorts, skirts, and sandals. On the first warm day there were legs everywhere and the men could barely contain themselves. I would get home and fling the windows wide open to air out the stale winter air trapped in the apartment. People flocked to patios to enjoy their lunches and after work cocktails. I even got bit by the Spring Cleaning bug and it was a good thing M was out of town because he might have been a little scared the way i was tearing everything off the shleves and out of the cupboards for a good wipe down.
Also a great event this week, I tried our gnocchi at work...it's incredible, as are the meatballs! Pictured here is the amazing pasta Cavatelli Malloreddus, which I love not only because it sounds like a spell from Harry Potter but also because it's amazingly delicious as well.
I did a little bit of shopping for some things around the house. It was time for that "woman's touch" and for me to start feeling a little more at home. Can't wait for M to be back!
