Day 46: Everything I needed

Today was the best last day of my vacation that I could have asked for. This morning I met my girls on Mill Avenue for coffee. Katie, Julie, Heidi, Steph, and Kristen (my sister) got together for a couple of great hours and had so much fun chatting and laughing and catching up. I love spending time with these girls who I have known since around fifth grade and consider family. It was pretty lucky that we could all get together considering we are currently living in three different states and this is such a busy time of year. It just filled me with so much happiness.
Afterwards I went to visit the ladies at my old job. It was so much fun to surprise them! I got to talk to the girl who took over my job, saw Jill's cute new haircut, caught up with Ana in the file room, got to see Kaci on her first day back from bringing an amazing little human into the world, surprised Jillian when I ran into her in the hallway and had to tell her not to cry, and had a really great talk with my second mom, Maria. She always gives me the best advice and such confidence.

I can't tell you how great it feels after being in a city where no one knows me to come home and get a huge hug from people I love who are happy to see me. It's nice to know I still have my people (:

Beautiful day outside, soaking up driving with the windows down! And I got my super awesome superhero drawing of myself by the great Andy Bridwell.

Dinner with my parents tonight, and Wii with the niece and nephew, and wonderful wake up time of 4:30 am for my 6:30 am flight.
