Day 32: Smile > College

Today I had an interview and got all dolled up for the interview and it worked because I GOT THE JOB! Two ionterviews in the last two days, both wanted to hire me, and both said my smile was my strong point and exactly what they needed.  So much for my 4 years at university, thanks for nothing ASU!  I should actually give my mom a call and thank her for those braces that made my yearbook pictures super painful to look at between 7th and 9th grade.

I am working at an Italian restaurant that is directly across the street from Madison Square Garden and has a great view of the Empire State Building.  It's a pretty fun place to be.  Right around the corner from THE Macy's.  It's crawling with businessmen during lunch and is pretty quiet for dinner so the hours should suit me just fine.

On the subway today was a lady with birds.  I want to say crazy lady because, well...the bitch brought birds on the subway and she makes them hang out with her.  But what was even crazier was that there were a couple ladies on the train, seperate, not together, who approached her beaming with stupidly excited smiles and asking her questions about the birds as they shit their runny excrement all over the floor of the subway.  New York.

Morris took me out to dinner to celebrate my employment so I met him downtown after work and we went to The Meatball Shop.  There was quite a wait but we sat at a bar nearby and I enjoyed my new found drink of choice, cider.  What I like about cider is that it looks like beer, but it tastes girly as shit.  And by girly, I mean delicious.  And while we were sitting in the bar this song came on (video below) and we both lit up as Morris proclaimed "It's our song!"  When I was visiting NYC this summer he introduced me to this little musical gem.  So I guess this is our song....
