Today I interviewed for a management job with the restaurant I work for. It's a really nice, busy restaurant and I was honored to be considered after such a short time hostessing. It was a super intimidating interview, especially since I have no experience and New Yorkers tend to think anyone outside of NYC can't handle shit. I was asked what I would do if I had to cut off a man at the bar. I wanted to tell him I've had plenty of drunk man experience. Luckily, I had my GM backing me, and long story short...I got the job!
After work, Morris took me out to celebrate (: We went to a restaurant he has told me a lot about called Gastroarte. It has really interesting food and such an artistic presentation. It was super delicious and really fun. We toasted with champagne, had croquettes, tomato salad, some fried rolls with yummy sausage inside, a cheese platter and an amazing peanut butter banana dessert. After dinner we took a little walk by Lincoln Center and up to a really awesome bar called The Library at the Hudson Hotel.
