Day 43 & 44: Home Sweet Home

Just been enjoying my AZ time.  Went out to celebrate a friend's birthday, had a great time and didn't pay for a single drink.  I also ran across a fellow KJ fan so you know I had to talk up the good ol' Coliseum days and brag about the fact that Mr. Johnson used to hang cards I made him on his fridge.  Those are some of my favorite childhood memories...going to the Suns game with my dad, waiting for the players after the game, and singing Oldies on the way home.  We have signed game shoes from KJ, Kurt Rambis, Dan Majerle, Tom Chambers, and more I am sure.  When my sisters and I were little and used to play "house" KJ was my husband, Tom was Kristen's husband, and Dan was Tanya's.  I do think we started off with pretty fabulous taste in men.

Mom had a day off and it was so great to spend some alone time with her.  She is really a best  friend and I miss her a lot.  We went to see The Descendants which I really enjoyed.  I thought it was well done, realistic, and definitely lived up to the Oscar-buzz hype.  We did a little shopping and then had lunch at Paradise Bakery.  It was the most gorgeous day so we got to sit outside and enjoy the weather with our delicious meal.  I definitely have a huge new appreciation for what a gorgeous relaxed place Arizona is to live.

Kristen was on this side of the Valley for a hair appointment so Mom, Dad, and I got to spend some quality time with Micah Man.  We went for a nice walk around the neighborhood and he talked the whole way in his cute little baby language.
