First of all, Empire State Building was pink and red tonight which warmed my heart.
I came home to candles, dinner, and flowers. My man treats me so good. All day long I was just hoping for flowers, it's been years and I love them so much. (off subject, one year when I was a teenager my dad bought me flowers for my birthday and it made me feel so happy, I love my daddy!) Flowers are the best, but Morris didn't just get me flowers, oh no, he bought me tulips! The flower of my homeland!
He made an amazing heirloom tomato bruschetta, tomato mascarpone spaghetti topped with shaved parmesan, then raspberries, chocolate, and mascarpone whip for dessert, one with raspberry purée and vanilla and one with maple syrup and brown sugar. We also had prosecco and toasted to ourselves because we are awesome.
I made him a little comic book of the story of us, how we met and some highlights of these wonderful past seven months. He also got Burt's Bee's Chapstick, Duvel beer, Lindor truffles, and jalapeño smokehouse almonds. What can I say, the man loves food.
I am feeling really lucky today.
